Grand Central District

Just west of downtown St Petersburg, the Grand Central District is a bustling entertainment enclave packed with galleries, restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Along Central Avenue, there’s a wide range of cafes, coffee shops and stores. Jannus Live is an outdoor music venue that takes full advantage of Florida’s warm climate. The American Stage Theatre Company is the spot for live regional productions of drama and musicals.

While bar hours can run into the wee hours, residential enclaves remain quiet, with plenty of green space around Mirror Lake and Williams Park. The historic Snell Building houses offices in iconic Renaissance style.

Colorful, edgy and always welcoming, this is the part of town where the cool kids hang out. It’s the birthplace of St. Pete Pride – which makes sense, because it’s the city’s original gayborhood and a place where Pride flags fly year-round.
